I came in here earlier, to do a few things on my computer, started listening to music and then suddenly began feeling really weird. I don't know what it was, but in a second i was overly emotional and had the overwhelming need to take pictures. I posted on twitter and facebook and likened it to suddenly feeling like i had demons to exorcise. Immediately. My heart was racing, i felt jittery, it was the oddest thing.
Anyways, so, yeah, i couldn't NOT listen. And this is what i did. [And i love it!] And now i feel fine.

And as for that big-ass cicada, yes it's real. Dead, but real. I don't do well with bugs, i still can't believe i even bought this [Which i did months ago but didn't have the nerve to open till tonight] let alone that i stuck it TO MY FACE. You should have seen me, my hands were shaking so bad because i really, really didn't want to touch it. It was even better later on when i realized one of it's legs broke off and was still stuck to me. *shudder*

I sincerely think this is one of the greatest pieces of art I have seen on DA in years. Just...wow. I first looked at this a couple hours ago, and I just keep looking at it. I keep coming back to the haunting expression, because I think you captured some disturbing pain, something cold and lost. Everyone, I think, who thinks this is beautiful, is empathizing with that feeling on some level. That is a work of art. When I look at it it stirs something inside me, and I know others feel that way, too. Amazing. Congratulations.

Wonderful! And I mean that in the truest sense. Everything about this peice screams inspired, which is if you hadn't gathered already what you must have been feelng earlier. I especialy love how it almost looks like a vitage portrait, but the hair and open eyes make her wild. Somehow the cicada ties it in to the title perfectly.
